SOURCE: installing after market stereo
Dave,
You will need to go buy a wiring harness adapter from your local Walmart (usually cheapest there) or Local Electronics place (ie Best Buy). The wire harness that goes out from the radio goes into the Adapter and the adapter plugs into the car harnesses. Also these Adapters come with the wiring diagrams for your vehicle. They typically run 10 - 15 bucks depending on where you get them. Thanks for using FixYa!
Sincerely,
JC

There is an updated resistor/connector package. Very expensive from GM, try your local NAPA or other parts supplier for a replacement
SOURCE: How do I connect a Aux line (for iPod etc.) into
Not on a stock radio. Your best bet would be a radio transmitter that plugs into your cigar lighter.
SOURCE: I want to install an aftermarket stereo in my 06
go to walmart or bestbuy and get the wiring adapter so you dont have to cut any wires. they are color coded
SOURCE: aftermarket stereo wiring harness does not fit oem
Theres a standard amongst most stereos, so if these colors apply, then you will be right,
Red is Ignition power
orange is direct power
Black is earth
blue is for phone
White is for electric arial
then there will be four coloured wires with matching color trace wires, these are the speaker wires.
Hope this gets you going, good luck.

factory wiring to this harness has only 14 wires so i just need the correct pin placement of ea/wire.
harness is an A/B configuration....1-12 on ea.
