Nothing really , just tried to adjust speakers . Fade , left ,right . absolutly no sound to back speakers.Every now and then my front drivers speaker blurps out some sound . Does anybody know what causes this ? Going crazy with no sound in my truck . same thing happens when playing cd
Hi Eric, I would suspect the multi-pin connector on the rear of the radio may not be seated properly. Even if some speakers are bad, you should hear something coming out of them. Make sure you have a good ground connection to the chassis/frame of the radio. The color scheme for the wires that I have for my 2003 radio multi-pin connector going to the speakers are: Left Front (-) GRY, Left Front (+) TAN, Right Front (-) Dark GRN, Right Front (+) Light GRN, Right Rear (-) Light BLU, Right Rear (+) Dark BLU, Left Rear (-) YEL, Left Rear (+) BRN. Not sure if it's the same for your 2007.
You can probably get the info from a Haynes Repair Manual to confirm. Once you know what the colors are you can pull the connector and check the speakers with a Digital Volt Meter (DVM) on the low Ohms scale to see if they're working, shorted or open.
Sounds like a wire is shorting out, probably in behind the stereo, but more likely in the back where the speakers connect. Check for something shorting out or a wire grounding out near the speaker.
You can trace back from there.
Other than that probably is the stereo.

first> road vibrations can cause cable connections to come loose so you can start by taking out your radio and making sure all of the questions in the back are connected as they should be.
Second> if this doesnt seem to work then the next step is to check the wires going to the speakers that arnt working (this will b quite a job, but if you can do it, it will save u quite a bit of money) .. checking the wires your checking for >bad connection to the speakers >cuts in the wire or if any part of the wire is touchin any other metal object
Was This Helpful ?

not sure which radio you have but there is an amplifier under the back seat and there are some fuses there you may want to check your owners manual for fuse information

The door chime is played over the speaker. I had the same issue the speaker was junk. The circuit resistance was correct but no tunes. Replaced the speaker with one from the junk yard and sounds great all the time.

1st check fuse for Amplifier.
2nd if fuse is good, most likely the Amp has died. Common for GMC
