Go to your local hardware store, parts store and buy an expansion spring. cut it to length and bend a new tab on the cut end . fit it to the lever and it will work a treat. Most auto seats have the spring but you will have to upend a seat to get it out as it costs too much for the junk yards to do it.

SOURCE: My 2003 Jeep Liberty just got broken into. They

Look on ebay or craigslist for your area, somebody has a Jeep they are selling part by part. If you live near a large city there will also be salvage yards in the area. Pay a little more for pick up as opposed to shipping if necessary, it is glass. Unless you have replaced a car window before this is something best left to someone who knows how and has the tools. Get your used window, glass only breaks it does not wear out, so do not buy a new one. Call glass shops from your phone book and ask them how much they charge to install a car window. Use the cheapest one, you will be much happier paying someone 50 bucks or so as opposed to doing this yourself.

SOURCE: daughter spilled latex paint in

Assuming the paint is still in the affected area, it sounds like it has created a ground that is keeping that circuit open. You will have to trace the wiring and remove all the paint, looking for any breaks in the wiring that need special attention. If there is a connector that got painted, clean it thoroughly.

Best wishes.

On my extended cab, the front passenger seat will not slide all the way back to the lock position

There's probably something in the way. Get under and behind the seat with a flashlight and check the back end of the rails to see if something is there.

Repair seat slider on

If I remember right, the coupe models would allow you to slide the seat forward if the seat back was folded to allow access to the back seat.
You will probably need to take the seat out of the car and turn it over to look at the linkage. There may be a broken spring or rod that is not releasing when you try to move it.

Front passenger seat won't move back, stuck in forward position

You better get a mirror to check under the seat , there might be a loose or disconnect or broke spring . Compare it to your driver's seat so you can find the difference and what's broke or disconnect.

hope this will helps a little !

My passenger seat won't lock into position. It slides back and forth as I drive and the bar that you pull on to move it back and forth is stuck in the up position.

There is a spring that pull's the handle back to lock position that might be broke or the locking mechanism might be gummed up.the spring can't be bought seperatly so check a hardware store or replace the seat track assembly.

2004 Jeep Cherokee Laredo Power Seat Lent Jeep to my son, next morning went to go to work, and noticed the power seat is rocking back and forth. The power button will slightly move back and forth but will...

Rocking tells me that something in the mechanism is broken. failure to move with switch could mean that either what broke or something else has jammed the track. If you are good at this kind of thing, remove seat (4 bolts & unplug harness) and flip it over if you can't see anything installed.
It could have broken because it was ready to break but that's why I don't loan my stuff to anyone! (when something breaks then it's my fault) If parts turn out to be really expensive, you can likely find a working seat in a junkyard for pretty cheap.
good luck with it...hope its something small & easy!
