I can manually move the wiper any way I want. No restriction on movement. Like gears broke.
Wiper arms have a hole at the end that fits over the wiper drive shaft and is secured by a nut. If the nut is loose the arm will not move predictably or will not move at all when the motor is on. You will also be able to move it by hand. This nut and shaft are covered by a piece of trim that can be pried up. It pries from the edge opposite of the wiper arm.
