I have a Mazda tribute 2008. and for some reason the radio display will say mazda tribute like always. But instead of turning on the clock/radio. It flashes and stays on " Mazda Tribute " I already ch

At my Mazda tribute bj.2008 the alarm suddenly goes off. What can be the reason for this and can this be solved?
well the alarm was tripped (earth quake shake or heavy trucks near buy, or
or the alarm needs service. (sensor too)
if no need for alarm turn it off. like mine all are. hate them.

The small display screen is renowned for this fault. Press on the plastic surround/bezel and see if the display shows any sign of life. It appears to be either a soldered joint or circuit board problem. I would doubt that replacing the radio will fix the fault, and at a bet, buying a replacement unit will be expensive and probably only result in the fault returning. Never know - there may be someone who has managed to work out a permanent fix for it...

there is another fuse at back of radio have you checked that?

I had the same problem with my 08 tribute. Decided to disassemble the display. Kind of a pain, but only took 10 minutes. The issue was in the bottom board of the display. One end of a resistor had a bad solder joint and was just sticking up in the air like a dogs leg when peeing on a tree.. lol. Hope this helps

refer to agent mazda for reseting, agent mazda or authorize mazda dealer can only reset you key for security reason

if mazda wont email you a pic of the dash and instrument cluster, and you don't have a helpful local dealership,,, the easiest thing may be to check your local parts store for a CHILTON or HAYNES manual for your model, either of those should have the information you need.


and you could always try to buy an original owners manual either thru a dealer or maybe ebay
