How do i remove passenger side front seat on a chevy malibu

The passenger seat airbag only fires in a crash if there is someone sitting on the passenger seat. There is a sensor in the seat cushion that register a person sitting there. Under the seat there will be a connector, take it apart and spray it with electrical contact cleaner.

The passenger sensing system turns off the right front
passenger frontal airbag and seat-mounted side
impact airbag under certain conditions. The driver
airbags and the roof-rail airbags are not affected by the
passenger sensing system.
The passenger sensing system works with sensors that
are part of the right front passenger seat. The sensors
are designed to detect the presence of a properly-seated
occupant and determine if the right front passenger
frontal airbag and seat-mounted side impact airbag
should be enabled (may inflate) or not.

I'm not sure if a purse or other light weight objects would activate the passenger airbag but if your display is showing random passenger activation it would be best to have a qualified dealer check into it...better safe than sorry.

Always disable the air bag system first, to prevent accidental deployment of the air bags. The main airbag module is beneath carpeting under passengers seat. To remove passengers seat, At the rear of the seat remove the two bolts securing the tracks to the floor, tilt the seat up and towards the instrument panel, unplug any electrical connectors beneath and remove the seat. the front plastic track covers can remain in place while the seat track tabs are lifted out of the slots on the floor. The bottom portion of the rear seat can be removed in two ways, try each and see what works for you:
1. Push back the seat from the front edge and also raise it at the same time - it will unhook and you can pull it out.
2. Look under the seat and see if there are any bolts and, if available, unwind them.

To fold-down rear seat on 2007 Chevy Malibu, follow these steps:
1. Open the trunk
2. Pull on one or both the handles located on the upper side of the trunk
3. The handle located on the driver's side will unlatch the bigger part of the read seat
4. The handle on the passenger side will fold down the smaller portion of the rear seat.
5. Once done, you will have a seat that's nicely folded down.

Check for a blowin fuse, Defective relay, Loose wires break in one of the wires, Switch could be shot, OR evan the motor has burn,t out,

Usually configuration on any seat. Slide seat all the way back and take out 2 front bolts. Sometimes the bolts are covered with a plastic cover that needs to be removed. Slide seat all the way forward the remove the 2 back bolts. Then I usually tilt the seat backwards and unhook any wires underneath. Carefully lift seat out of the vehicle being careful not to scratch the car.

If its like my 99 Chevy Lumina, its behind the front bumper, passenger side. You'll have to take the whole front bumper off. Stupid I know. But thats how Chevy made them.
