Model D21, 2.4L engine, 2 wheel drive, fuel injected
There are only 2 kinds
pull off, and unscrew off.
you didnt look first?
is this a , i cant find it? question.
remove the cap, they have 3 kinds on all cars
screws, twistlocks, and tabs
watch like a zillion folks do this on youtube yet.
or read the sevice manuals
or login to alldata.com and see it? step by bitty step there
Take off the cap via screws (like mine has) and remove the two (sometimes three) screws holding on the seal plate. then unscrew the (protection shield) bearing cover and carefully remove the bearings, put them in a safe place.
Just below the platform that you secure the distributor cap on, there should one lug-bolt and a philip head screw holding it on (use a magnetic long-reach screwdriver and socket wrench).
Disconnect the two connectors that run thru the wiring harness and split off to the distributor. remove the motor and distributor and replace as necessary. then tighten everything back down, re-connect power and control to the motor (you may need to transfer the connector from the old motor to make it work) then re-connect the coil lead and spark plug wires. test it for spark and give it a test crank to see if it turns over and starts up. if it doesn't, check the connections and try again.
i hope this helped you with your delema. good luck! ^.^

I have a '95. It's behind the passenger side tire. Remove tire and rock guard if you have one--couple of screws--and you can easily access it. two bolts facing rear of car, two connections up front. Honestly it was the easiest replacement I've ever done. Just disconnect your battery first.

your carberator is gummed up. Go to the auto parts store and get a can of seafoam fuel additive. Read the label so you get enough but as I recall you put in one ounce per gallon of gas. Run that through your pickup for a few miles and it will purr again.
SOURCE: where is fuel-filter on 2.4L D21 Nissan pickup?
it should be under the car close to the driver side door. if you can't see it trace it from the fuel tank it should be attached to the fuel line. if you have the repolacement in your hand you will know what you're looking for
