I have a 2003 saturn l200 and my heat and air both work and the blower motor works on all speeds but the air only comes out of the defrost. I have been told it's a blend door actuator problem? Where would that be at on my car or what might the problem be? Please help!!!

Blend door actuator is deep under the dash and hard to get to. If you really want to try to fix it yourself, buy a shop manual.

SOURCE: Blend door not working.

The bleed door controls air temp not where it comes out, dash, floor, defroster, this is most likely a mode control switch problem, that switch is on the ac control head.

SOURCE: Blower only pushes air through defroster. 96 Jeep GC

There is a vacuum leak under the hood. On the 4.0 liter it is usually at the intake manifold near the brake booster. The 90 degree vacuum fitting pops off of the nipple of the intake. On the 5.2 liter the vacuum leak is usually near the battery where acid corrodes through the line as it passes near the battery box to the reservoir under the box.

SOURCE: How do you fix the driver side air blend door actuator?

you cannot repair the actuator you need to replace it with new one. These motors turn but get weak with time. if you test it, it works, put it in and it doesn't. this is because the motor is weak, unfortunately GM does not sell these motors separately.

SOURCE: how to replace blend door actuator in a ford

I recently did mine, I hear you can do it without taking the entire dash apart but I had no luck with it myself. I have to get ready for work but, on mine it was located down and to the left of the radio. its a white box...are you hearing a clicking noise or something? I had to roll the entire dash back and it was still a major pain getting it out.

well the ac compressor will come on if you have it in defrost mode,if heater is blowing cold ,after you just had thermostat replace ,you could possibly have air in system.now if your heater motor is not working which is called the blower motor under dash it could be the resistor that controls it also these rigs have been known for wire harness problems at heater control unit and the blower motor connector.good luck, mike

We own a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the a/c and heat are not blowing at all, only the defrost works on low,

have the blower motor resistor checked it may be bad causing air not to blow, you will get a little heat at defrost because heat rises and thats the high point, the blower motor is not working check that resistor.

2001 Saturn L200 blower motor does not work in highest switch position. Move switch down to next lowest position and it works normally. This is in AC mode.

Blower motor resistor. Located next to/ near the blower motor itself. These are common failures for no high speed blower operation.

Blower motor vent selection switch not working

the hvac selector switch in the dash may be the problem. You need to remove the switch and look at the connector on the back of switch, see if there are any burnt wires at the connector or switch. It's all electronic and the switches have been known to burn out on this and other model.

Intermittent blower motor failure

A broken/burned motor winding will do exactly this. If you measure it when cold it will look good. The broken/burned winding will only open from heat expansion.
