I have taken my chevy tracker to several mechanics and they dont know whats wrong with car. every time that I approach a light, the tracker starts to shake but as soon as I press the gas it stops. It also happens when I completely stop, or park. One mechanic told me that there was something wrong with the engine so we changed it, but it continue. I noticed that everytime i turn onthe ac it shakes even more, and I noticed that the rpm's will get below 1. So I discuss this with another mechanic and he told me that there might be a problem with the air pressure or the ac was bad cause the shaking was even more when ac is on. Please guide me what can I do cause I am running out of options. Thank You, juan
SOURCE: Engine is shaking
check the idle, it is too low will stall when you are driving, just need to adjust the idle and make it a little faster only
SOURCE: Engine light appearing at odd times; also car shutting off at odd times
Check under the dashboard on the left side for a female connector shaped like a horizontal, flattened 'D.' If it has one (99% certain) then a scanner can be used to learn what codes are set in the car's computer and causing the Check Engine light to trigger.
You can have nearly any repair shop read out and interpret the code for you or, if you like to be independent of hungry mechanics, you can find these on sale for as little as $30 (on sale) which I paid for mine at Harbor Freight.
These are very easy to use and all come with a list of codes (mine has a CD too) that will pinpoint the problem.
If you decide to add one to your complement of tools (well, some of us do), make sure it is OBD II compatible (for your present car) or even CAN capable as this is the newer standard. Each later generation of these is backward compatible.

Not sure what is causing it, but it sounds like you're running on 3 cyllinders. Check plugs, wires, timing . timing belt may have jumped, bad injector, low fuel pressure.
SOURCE: 94 grand am Head Gasket?
Check ur spark plugs for wetness, if u have water in ur cylinders, you have a gasket problem. 94-95 grand am had a problem with intake gaskets, but my grand am also had a manufacture error on the head gasket too. The dragged the heads over it putting the heads back on and smashed the rings..
SOURCE: Car studders/shakes when brakes are pressed,
No, it is not anything to do with the gas. Most likely cause is a vaccum leak look at your brake booster. open the hood look at the fire wall right in front of where you sit. The brake booster will have a hose comming out of it going to the engine this hose is loose or has a hole in it. when you step on the brake it **** air causing the engine to trun off sometimes.
