I have to think the problem is inside the turn signal switch, a poor internal connection. You know the brake signal first goes through the turn switch before it goes to the bulbs. That is why the brake lights and rear turn signal lights share the same filament in the bulb, and the same wire going to those lights. The only difference is the turning side light is affected by the turn signal flasher, causing blinking, while the other side- the non turning side-does not go through the flasher relay, but straight to the bulb from the turn signal switch. Change your turn signal switch and I believe you will solve the problem. Let me know, okay?
I would say its probably a short or a ground problem at the turn switch or a wire in that area. you need a test light and probably a multi meater and some nohow a ground or wireing problem can even drive a master teck crasy.
Being and electronic speedometer, it will surge a touch when engine first started or switch first turned on, that's normal, but the only reason it is not working while driving is most likely a faulty speed sensor. Code should tell you this with a reader.
Hi, you probably have a broken cable or a bad speedometer..
Check the cable that runs from the gearbox to the dash, (the connection IN the dash looks like a green receptical for a light bulb, its HARD to miss) make sure that it turns properly and that, when in its correct position, turns the small brass coloured part inside the speedo mechanism (the end of the cable should be a square-ish prong that is should insert into a hole in the extreme rear of the speedometer mechanism).
If the unit doesnt work (if the cable is fine and the mechanism bares no apparent defects then you have to replace the speedometer)
I'd wager that the fuse that controls the gauges is shot, or one of the internal connectors got unplugged (Fuse sounds more likely). Radio, Lights, and Turn Lamps are usually on seperate circuits.
Check to make sure that the light switch (on the signal indicator) is working .....like so ur lights will come on, or you may have to replace the cluster
i had the same problem and it turned out to be my cluster
