Sounds like maybe a fuel problem, check fuel pressure regulator it may be leaking and that is the smell. Pull vacume hose off and look for fuel.

SOURCE: loud & smoky smell

could be open at the top of the muffler .......or may be a flange connection between the headers and the intermediate pipe or the connection along the seam or to the muffler

you will need a light and with the vehicle running {{Visually Inspect}} for smoke or louder noise to seclude the area /s of this issue .

Hey Guys, I have a CHERRY 2002 Firebird Convertible. Its only got 82,000 on it & is a BEAUTIFUL CAR!!! Last week I had to have the Temperature Gauge Sensor and the Thermostat changed out Last night...

Sounds like a fuel pump to me. But if the check engine light came on before it competely die the first time, then there are several things that would kill the engine. Good luck

Hello!
There a quite a few factors that could cause stalling but before you start spending any money you could check the Oxygen sensor.Seems that as soon as engine warms up and reads the o2 sensor values things go bad.
