The EGR is mounted to the intake manifold--look in the right rear area behind the throttle body mechanism. There are two 10mm nuts, as well as a 10mm clamp screw holding it down. Remove the clamp screw first, then remove the two 10 mm nuts. You should first remove the intake air hose between the air filter and the throttle body, then remove the two front engine mounts, then using a ratchet strap, pull the top of the engine forward until it contacts the radiator fans. This will give enough room the reach the EGR valve and the exhaust pipe beneath it.

What should it cost to replace an EGR & AIR FLO


its 70 bucks at autozone for the egr valve and 101.00 for the mass air flow sensor if you take the old one up there first if not 140.00 without core


both are simple to change

Sounds like the EGR sensor is still sending power to the EGR valve. I would replace the EGR sensor and that will resolve your problem. There has been a problem with some of the cars showing a error code reading of EGR valve being bad when it is really the sensor being bad

I WISH I WAS THERE TO HELP.I DONT RECALL WHERE ANY OF THE VENT VALVES WERE LOCATED BUT IF YOU CANT SEE ANY OR THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS LOOK IN TACT DONT TURN IT INTO A WORSE PROBLEM.BRING IT IN IT DOESNT NECCISSARLY HAVE TO BE THE DEALER IF YOU HAVE A RELIABLE MECHANIC OF YOUR OWN.IVE REPAIRED MANY CARS THAT WERE ATTEMPTED TO BE REPAIRED BEFORE BEING BROUGHT IN AND THE BILL WAS A LOT HIGHER.GOOD LUCK

EGR Valve Replacement


the egr valve is located on the rear of the intake manifold and easiest fix is at a shop by a certified tech. there is alot of removing of engine related items to gain access to the valve.
