Question about Alpine Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

Have a Alpine Symphony Hi-line unit is a YIE100011PUY, am looking for a wiring diagram to show the 2 x 12 pin wiring colour codes of the wires.

Have tried looking at as many sites on the internet as I have found with no matches to the 2 x 12 sockets, have a service manual and is not showing enough information for what colour wires are at each terminal.

Which wire from indicator switch goes to flasher relay im using a narva 2 pin flasher relay in a 2002 holden rodeo one positive from battery an wht colour would it be from the switch or is it 2 wires

There could be no relay in the vehicle because it doesn't need one. CANbus vehicles tend to use a single module to carry out all the vehicle timing requirements - indicators, hazards, wipers, courtesy lights and so forth.
If the flashers don't work it would be better to repair the system than to rewire and use an outdated method, perhaps introducing further fault codes that might affect the operation of other stuff.

A little used hazard switch is a common cause of flasher failure...

If you really must rewire the system, the (ignition) live, as you say, goes to one side of the flasher unit and the other to the centre contact of the indicator switch though you will need a wiring diagram to identify the colour. There is no single universal colour code though if I was looking at an old British car I would expect to see a dark green wire with a thin black trace line.

A wiring diagram will be useful also for identifying the wiring to the lamps and separating the hazard switch wiring from the circuit. If there are two dashboard tell-tale lights the 2-pin relay will be ok but if there is only one you will need a 3 or 4 pin unit depending on whether electronic or electro-mechanical.

I basically need a diagram showing which color wire go where on the 32 pin harness!? I made a mistake and pulled out a few wires and I want to make sure I'm replacing them correctly. 01 Caddy Deville

normally during manufacturer the wires in one half of the connection line up with the same colour wire in the other half of the connection
makes for easier installation on assembly

Color of wires

Hi Red, Sorry to tell you this pal, but the Toyota's we have worked on do not have a colour coding format for most of the wiring loom. A cable which is loomed from the speed sensor can be one colour going in and another colour coming out because Toyota join cables of any colour, presumably for cost effectiveness. The cable can be identified from the pin number inside the management computer, or by downloading a pin out diagram from <www.allpinouts.com> Regards John.
