Removing a fuse
Now some rovers will disconnect the alarm with a fuse under the bonnet in the box the top right one if i remember correctly but this was a earlier model that i had a 200 .Now on the rover what happens is if you leave the key in and the door open the alarm locks on ,this is easy enough to turn off if you have the remote but if you do not have a remote?? .Earlier ones you could also bridge a transistor in the computer and this by-passed the alarm but the later ones iam not so sure about ,on a car this age their should be plenty in the scrappers so find one with the keys and remote and remove the whole lot ,computer/key/transponder and change it all over .Or see if the original dealer who will no doubt have another make of vehicle franchise but still have the software to programme it all up for you and supply some new remotes for toy and programme them in .
