FOR THE 2.2L AND 2.5L ENGINES TO REMOVE WATER PUMP THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR AND BRACKET NEED REMOVING AND ALTERNATOR AND BRACKET HAS TO BE REMOVED BEFORE WATER PUMP CAN BE REMOVED.
i would think you could take out the cam plug and put the sensor in but the cam if i remember right has a metal pin like a dowel inserted in a hole drilled in the camshaft and that is what the sensor reads. if there is no pin or other tab on the other engine then you would have to swap the cam
Fuel pump should have a relay under the hood in the fuse panel.try whacking the bottom of your tank with your fist and see if the pump goes,check for power at the fuel tank sending unit and work your way forward
you have a sensor some were not likeing the heat. they can go this way sometimes. you need to run diagnostics as the engine is warming up and have it set to view the engine as it warms up to find the problem. it could be a cam sensor as they prone to do this when they are hot then work fine when they are cool.
