I changed front break pads and have intermittent squealing and grinding issues. I am about to have mechanic friends replace them and they asked me to look up the torque specs for the front, back, and emergency breaks before they start
Just take pads off and put some adhesive on the back. All the parts stores have the small bag of blue goo. Some brakes squeal some dont.
Torque specs are related to fastener clamping forces. There are no torque specs for Disc bakes unless they are talking about the Hub nut or torque plate bolts. If the rotors were not turned or replaced AND less than OE equivalent pads were installed then the problem as described will occur
Pad material will cause these problems.... Buy good Cermic pads and new rotors and you won't have that problem
