1999 Boxster won't start sometimes

1999 boxster five speed stick, starts sometimes, intermitent problem. I'll have to turn key on several times. And that doesn't work all the time either. Does the Boxster have a security key?

Yes. It may have a weak magnet on it. Otherwise it would be the ignition or control module. Try replacing key first.

Injector bleeding fuel into cylinder when engine is off. Flooding cylinder. Also fuel line goes empty. So key has to be flipped several times to reprime line (pump only runs for 2 seconds before engine start, needs several cycles to pressurize fuel line for starting)

I have a 1999 Porsche Boxster; it will not start. My carpet is wet behind the seat. I am being told that the control box is out or something about the immobilizer. Also my windows are came down even though...

Possible water entry came from the rear cabrio area membranes under the roof drive units, which will allow for water entry into the cabin and will soak the floor. The alarm CU lives under the seat. Normally when they get wet, they have to be replaced. Sometimes your key remotes will also need to be replaced with the alarm CU. Also make sure that your front plenum drains, near your car battery, are clean of leaves and debris. PS; If water is entering from the rear roof membranes, don't do the rest of the work and NOT replace these, as this fault WILL happen again.

Ignition locking on by 2001 Porsche Boxster S

It is known for ignition switches to fail. Sometimes they won't turn, other times they leave the starter engaged and sometimes the radio, A/C or wipers won't work. You may crank the car to start sometimes and the key does not spring back from crank to run. Check this first. Good luck....
