Remove the belt and check those parts. Spin them by hand The alternator should spin freely. The PS pump will have more drag on it. Also check the tensioner and idler pulleys. When turning them Feel for roughness. All these should be smooth turning. No bumps or grinding. One of them is going to be tight or rough. The PS pump will move in and out a bit, this is normal.
Testimonial: "Thanks for replying Randy, unfortunately all this has been checked and everything looks fine. I'm on Mechanic number 3 and they are all baffled.I don't want to start buying parts if there is no need to but I need to get this sorted."
Well it has to be one of them. The only parts that will cause a pressure build up on the belt is the alternator and the power steering pump. Also look at alignment of the belt. The belt should look straight looking inline with it. A bad tensioner will do this also. When the belt squeals, it is getting hot. Hot enough to break. There are only six or seven things on the front of the engine that can do this. 3 mechanics can't find it? Luckily I am not a mechanic, I just fix things. And I take no offence to the term you use to describe me. Please find some one that can diagnose your problem. it is an easy fix with the right person.

Swift, 05, no country posted. so can really help
and double posted. why do that?
did your 3 mechanics use a stethoscope?
if not fire them and find a real mech. no really
bearings, can go in and out of seizure, and not using the steth to hear the death rattle, means he finds nothing.
you're not doing the work, so there is no need for me to teach you hot to find noise. we have and electronic stethoscope with 4 channels that allows me to connect up , and start engine ,safe.
and find whats wrong.
the replacement belt snapped
this is all we need to know, it snaps.
learn to use the correct tools or miss the boat, really.
this is a USA forum and here, we have ASE mechanics. find
one with gray side burns and not some whipper snapper, short on experience.
