clicking or buzzing sound coming from the "headlight relay" which is in ... off when you turn on the headlights then it clicks instead of buzzing in that fuse compartment and the headlight flickers about 5-10 times a second in time with the ..... I have a 1992 626 mazda, the battery died and replaced it two days ...

1. so in the fall my right headlight burned out, but then after nudging ... 2. sometimes when i turn off the car i hear buzzing coming from .... i turn off the car, was never able to open the hood in time before the sound disappears ... Buzzing sound behind centre console

Blown fuses or relay!!!

Ignition switch or the prove out circuit control that times the lights off may be bad.

Turn on your headlights and try to start the car. If the headlights go from bright to dim or off , then the battery or it's connections are bad, or loose or corroded.
If the headlights stay bright, then the problem is likely the starter or it's connections.

you give no detail of make, model or year of vehicle. Does it have daytime running features in the headlights. Apparently you have either broken the circuit by removing the headlight or shorted out a circuit. Can't help you with such limited information.

it sounds like you fault is with the drivers side headlight or wiring.
have you up rated any of the lamps or done any removel or replacement of parts?. The headlight connection to the lamp may be faulty, even the lamp may be faulty, one of the healight or main beam wires may have been trapped or have been rubbing against the chassis. you have a direct short from the 12v to ground on the main beam and partial leakage on the normal beam. I would use a multi-meter and using the continuity buzzer start at the head light connections and put the meter across the 12v and ground if it buzzes trace the wires back to the relay and unplug the relay and buzz the 12v and ground on the connect going to the light if it doesn't buzz then buzz the 12v and ground going to the relay on the connector, if still buzzing then trace the wiring back to the light switches remove connectors and repeat as above. for best results disconnect the battery before hand. this fault maybe causing your other issues. good luck.

The relay in question is under the hood, please consult your owners manual.

If your corvette is fibreglass, then make sure there is a good earth return for everything electrical, lights, indicators, wipers, horn, etc. You can check each item individually with a dedicated negative and positive wire to the battery. This will tell you if it functions or not, ie: the water pump will buzz if working, insert tube into jar of water to see if it pumps water, if not check if the nozzle is blocked a needle my help clear it. Hope this may help.

Change out the bad relay with a good one. They are not expensive.

you dont have a good ground.
