I have a 1999 Subaru Forester and it will shake then die when coming to a stop. Once the vehicle warms up, it will not reproduce the fault. And it doesn't produce a "check engine" light or a obd code. I also replaced the MAF sensor by the air filter and no change. Help!

Could be a bad coolant temp sensor making ECU think the car is warmed up when still cold.

2002 subaru forester. will not idle or take fuel properly. have replaced idle air control, coil, timing belt, etc. does not read any codes.

Try unplugging the MAF sensor, the check engine light will come on but the engine should run almost normally. If this is the case replace the MAF sensor. MAF's seldom set fault codes.

You have a check engine light on

What are the codes

Engine hestitation, 2000 subaru forester

I think these codes are indicating a fault with your catalytic converter. The 02 sensors are each not returning the correct values to the ECM, causing a "suspect the 02 sensors" fault code.

My 2003 Subaru Forrester with 89,000 miles was periodically shaking a lot the other day and I opened the hood and there was a spark coming from the coil pack. The repair place said I need a new one...

It's likely the coil. Subaru issued a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on this issue. This is not a recall but you may want to show this to your Subaru mechanic or call Subaru after your repair to try to at least defray some or all of the cost for the repair. The link is below:

Forester weird idle sound an check engine light

Go to autozone or similar and have vehicle scanned for codes. This will give you a idea what's wrong.
