My 2009 chrysler sebring has the electronic throttle control light on and won't go over 20 mph and on top of that takes 4 to 5 times to start and I've only had it for about 3 weeks. what is wrong with it?

2010 Chrysler Sebring Limited won't start?

The flashing bolt is the issue. You need a mobile auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer.

The lightning bolt warning light alerts you to a fault in the electronic throttle control system in your vehicle. This may be a faulty throttle body, the throttle body sensor or possibly the throttle body control motor which is what controls the opening and closing of the throttle body as the motor requires more fuel.

2005 sebring v8 2.7 ltr engine drive cycle completion

the 2.7L is a V6, to perform a drive cycle you need 1/4 to 3/4 tank of fuel and do not exceed 59 mph for a good 10 to 20 miles and then a key cycle to check if it did not go try again . best when cold start up

Seems to be saying there is a recall on the Throttle body. "Silent recall" they don't want to tell you about it.

Electronic Throttle Control

Sounds like you might have hooked the stereo up to a wire for the pedal.
Have you tried disconnecting the wiring for the stereo ?

The Electronic throttle control light is on. Car will crank but won't start anymore. No check engine light is on. 2007 Chrysler Sebring 2.4L

You will need to have the electronic engine control module scanned for fault codes, there will be a code even if thelight is not on.

Sebring 2007 problems with the Electronic Thottle Control (ETC) Light flashes at dash panel car doesn't accelerates and goes to 20mph.

Had the same problem. Would be driving down the road and the red lightning bolt light would go on. Unable to accelerate and car started jerking. Would have to pull over and turn car off then turn back on to buy some more time. Needed to replace the Throttle Position Sensor, but you can't get that part by itself. You have to replace the Throttle Body.

This morning i went to start up my sebring and it wouldnt start. the electronic throttle control light came on so i kept trying to start it but nothing happened . it was just fine the other day .can you...

I could be that the sensor could be dirty. They sell a spray at your local auto parts store specificly for the throttle body. It's should be connected to your air filter housing. Just try to clean the sensors and use the spray for the throttle body and that should help. Good Luck... It work for me...

My electronic throttle control warning light came on what is wrong with my 2007 Sebring?

I have an 08 Sebring and mine has been having the etc light come on and the car will stall..with little to no notice. It's at the dealer right now and they can't figure out what is causing this because the light doesn't stay on once you turn off the car and restart it. It's kind of relieving to me that someone else is having this problem. Hopefully Chrysler can figure out what the deal is with this!!

Top speed 20 mph

If this vehicle is a 2009/8 model then whatever is wrong with it will be under warranty.
