Look in your fuse box for the bcm fuse (body control module) and remove the fuse atleast for a mint and then start the vehicle, put it in neutral and disengage the 4L and you are done once it is disengaged turn the vehicle off and re-insta the fuse yo pulled out and you should have no problem.

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, that might get you out of trouble for now. There are some common problems with these 4wd systems. Most common is the mode position sensor on the encoder motor. Sometimes it can be the switch on the dash. Fact of the matter is I can't tell you what is wrong without using a scantool to retrieve the fault codes from the computer controlling the 4wd.

Check for a blown fuse. use your manual to find fuse location. you can remove the shift motor and engage it manually, you need to remove front driveshaft.

It may be the front axel actuator moter(on front axel right side) is not disengaging the axel. There is a 4wd
fuse 15amp in the fuse block under the dash, make sure it's not blown. If the fuse is ok, check the connections at the actuator and the transfer case switch. These are the more common causes for the
problem you have. Give these tests a try and let me
know if you want to go to the next level.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
