I have a 1990 Ford festiva L and I've replaced starter alternator distubutor cap and rotor and fuel pump ..it has spark and turns over and over but won't start and run...I need help as it's my daily

It's a 25 yo vehicle no doubt with lots of miles on it and the engine will be well worn I expect.

1. New fuel pump or not I would first check the fuel pressure.
2. Have a compression check carried out on all cylinders.

I have a 1990 festiva and it will run until it gets warm then it dies.

It sounds like an ignition problem. Next time you are experiencing the problem, check to see if spark plugs are firing.I would guess ignition coil.

1990 ford festiva no power to fuel pump. replaced relays , fuel pump, checked safety shutoff. nothing .. ran hot wire to fuel pump and pump worked but car still not trying to start. got spark. now what

The pump should have a fuse in the fuse block. You need to check for power in the fuse block and you need to check power to the pump relay.

Sometimes there is a fusible link to the Relay. If you check the connector terminals for power where the Relay plugs in, you can determine if the fusible link has blown. You could have already replaced the bad parts and now need to restore power to the Relay.

I was changing the alternator in my festiva, now it turns over and fires for about 1 second then shuts down.

check all your fuses to see if you accidently blow and of them. more likely the fuel pump fuse is blown
