If there is no diagram pasted in the engine compartment, check your owner's manual...or else go to your local auto store warehouse or Chevy dealership...usually the parts counter person can print out the diagram specifically to your vehicle. Since you did not mention the engine specs- I'm going to generically how to install a serpentine belt.

1.) make a loop and slip the loop around the crank shaft pulley
2.) continue looping the belt around the water pump pulley
3.) ...around the A/C pulley
4.) ...and around the idler pulley
Skip the alternator pulley for now- you want to do that one last.
5.) Continue placing the belt around the power steering pump pulley
6.) and over the belt tensioner pulley
7.) Now move the belt tensioner position so that you can loop the belt over the alternator.
8.) Now double check to make sure that the belt is properly and securely fastened around each pulley's grooves. Don't start the motor until you are absolutely sure... and can visually verify that the new belt is installed properly. And don't have anyone (or pets) standing around the car or open engine compartment when you initially start the car just in case the belt breaks...serious injuries can occur!
I've attached a generic drawing it may or may not fit the description of your auto.

2004 envoy base I spliced the radio harness. Trying to hook up a aftermarket radio what's the color code and why is there two orange wires if the power is orange witch one is

This is why walmart and others sell a wiring kit that plugs one end into the stock wires and the other to your radio, One hot ware goes to always hot wire for clock and station presets, other goes to switched ignition so radio goes off with the key.

I have a 1989 jeep wrangler it does not have a serpentine belt but rather 3 belts i need a diagram showing how those belts are suposed to be routed

Check with Autozone and discuss your problem. They know what they are talking about and have always come up with the right parts or belts for me. I used to be a mechanic in my youth and I never go anywhere else.........

I have a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo and the alternator belt broke. Replaced it, but now the fan is rattling like it is loose. Do I need to buy a new fan?

It is likely the fan clutch problem that caused the belt to fail, so in this case yes i would replace the fan clutch. Don't forget to check the water pump, it may also be the source of the noise.

Fanbelt came off of 2004 durango xlt, shouldn't the belt get caught around the crankshaft and not come off comepletely unless something fell off also?

You probably have a bad pulley..Need to check each pulley and make sure it spins smoothly and all the pulleys are in line.

The tensioner pulley may be faulty. There should be a lot of tension on the pulley to keep the belt tight. If the tensioner can be moved easily, it should be replace.

Replacing fan belt

1.Most modern cars have an IDLER pulley in the fan belt train of pulleys with a heavy spring on it that keeps tension on the timing belt.

2. Get a spanner/socket and put it on the nut in the middle of the idler pulley.

3.heave on the spannner and the pulley will swing up/down out of the way realeasing tension on the belt. (depending on the tensioner setup)

4. Simply remove old belt and thread new belt on. Simple.
