follow the top radiator hose to the motor... that hosing where it joins the motor is where it is located... usually two bolts hold it on... to replace it you need to drain the rad a bit... remove the two bolts... scrap off the old gasket... replace the thermostat... in the exact way the old one was .... replace the gasket and bolt all back up... make sure you inspect for leaks after it's running and topped up... with the rad cap on

SOURCE: need to change?? how do

You need a special puller / installer to remove the clutch on the a/c compressor.... It may be cheaper to pick up a used compressor and swap it out.. You can obtain the re-fill charge cans at most auto part stores and fill it your self.

My 97 dodge ram 1500 V8 magnum has a wire on the left side of the power distribution center that I don't know where it goes

that is the power wire comes from battery to the box through the fuse then powers all the fuses and relays in that distribution box. if your talking about the wire connector with no wire in it. that is an aux power source to run anything needing 12volts like a salter or snow plow.
