Why don't you try unplugging the electric trunk release motor? See if things start working.

YES I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM I FIXED IT BY REMOVING DRIVERS DOOR PANEL AND FOUND ACTUATOR OUT OF LINE AND WIRE CONECTORS WERE BROKE I COULD NOT FIND REPLACEMENTS SO I USED WIRE ROPE GRIPS I ALSO FOUND LOOSE CONECTIONS IN WIRING I GOT CENTREL LOOKING WORKING AGAIN, HOPE THIS IS HELP.
