SOURCE: SRS light stays on on 1997 Honda Accord.

That means there is a problem with your airbags.  Take both cables off of the battery for 10 minutes or so and reconnect it.  This should reset your computer.  If the light continues to stay on, code it.  If you don't have a code reader, then take it in and have someone code it.  This will tell you what is exactly wrong with the airbags.  It could be something simple or something complex.

Open the door of both sides (driver and passenger) and look for the panel for the fuses. Remove the panel and you will see the fuse box. The information of the fuses is on the panel.

SOURCE: Tool needed to remove SRS Control Module fro 1997 Honda Accord

Hi, the bit is called a Torx Bit or a star bit. Don't get the type for a screwdriver, get the socket that would go on a ratchet, you'll need to put an extension on it of course to get in there. Push hard or it will strip. Give Honda a call and ask them what size it is for your car for sure, might be a 6mm or you can just buy a metric Torx Bit Set. Separately they are $3.99 at Autozone. Not sure how much the kit is. Good luck.

Why do brakes lock up 1997 Honda accord srs

Could be many reasons. Are they locked up all the time or when braking hard or when you just touch the brakes? Bad caliper, rotor, abs? Where are you located? Is the car parked outside in Boston? Could have water in brake fluid and it is frozen. Parking brakes applied?

Why do brakes lock up on a Honda accord SRS 1997

Most likely you have a collapsed brake line or a sticking caliper that is causing your brakes to not relieve the fluid pressure when you take your foot off of the break

My SRS, ABS, and Brake lights stay on. Sometimes the Brake light will go out but sometimes it will stay on. The SRS and ABS lights are always on. The car seems to be driving okay.

brake light could be a sensor wire or the pads are worn out ,the srs light could be the wiring connections under the front seats ,the connectors need a clean or rubbish under the seat has dislodged them.Abs light coming on could be caused by the low brake pads but its doubtful more like one of the metal toothed rings is loose on the drive shaft ,also could be low on brake fluid if the pads have worn down and the fluid level has dropped
