Is there 2 computers on my 201 dodge Dakota with the 4.7 engine?

Greg, you may have to transfer everything from donor truck to make the swap work tranny , computers, wire harness, fuse/relay center etc. Check the attached links,forum for Dakota engine swaps,instruction and guides, Good luck

Does it do it if you disconnect the idle air control valve ?
You need to know if its a vac leak or if the computer is making the valve open too far.

Have you had the computer scanned for trouble codes yet ?

Not really, unless you want to spend some money on it. You will need the engine and transmission and the wiring for both. Also you will need the computers for them.

Yes, you would have to change the entire harness and engine computer cause a 4 cyl computer will not run a six cyl

look in the fuse box located near the battery for a relay for the fan. replace it.

vehicle speed sensor located on the top of the rear axle.

Sounds like the timing belt/chain has jumped a tooth. If the on board computer were out I am not sure the motor would respond this way. Check timing Good Luck

The hose you are talking about sound like the intake tube it is the right one but you went the wrong way.Its not a vehicle im familiar with but follow that hose/tube back toward engine and find the throttle body that has the accelerator cable /which is long and thin/attached to it.Can you see the part that moves if you stand on the gas pedal.The part you see moving is the throttle shaftand throttle body.

dont know lots about this witout engine size but some have 1 coil per cylender possible coil is bad or plug 02 sensor will cause some problems but a miss fire will cause it to run like trash
