Important: This sunroof system is timed from the factory in order to allow the actuator to shut off automatically when the sunroof window reaches a certain position. Use extreme care when removing the actuator from the sunroof module. This may cause the timing to be thrown off. This may damage to the sunroof. Anytime the actuator needs to be removed from the module, ensure that the sunroof window is in the fully closed position.
Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
Slide the sunshade fully rearward. Move the sunroof window to the vent position. Remove the sunroof screws (two on each side). Remove the sunroof window from the module.
Place the sunroof module in the fully closed position. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior trim.

Windows won't stay up on a 1999 pontiac grand prix. The motors work but not sure what part needs replaced

If you can hear the motor running then you are in good shape. The arm/lifting mechanism most likely lost its pivot pin which will be evident when you open up the door panel

My sunroof won't close, is it the fuse? If so,

If the sunroof only opens but does not close the problem is the relay or the motor itself, try replacing the relay of this does not work, try replacing the roof motor.

Leak!

There should be a rubber lining around the sunroof. That might need to be replaced, if not pull it almost completly off (dont pull it off all the way because its not fun to realign). Go to Lowes and pick up some clear sefl squeeze bathroom caulk and inject it inside the rubber fold. Then reapply. This actually worked on my buddies sunroof.
