Unfortunately the answers you have given for replacing a cap is too vague. Is it a gas cap, radiator cap, air conditioning service port cap.... Look the battery needs charged that is why the battery drops to 9 volts, a good charged battery should drop to 10 volts. Check your battery terminals or cables for corrosion. Do a voltage drop tests on both positive and ground cables. As far as not starting any more...do you mean not cranking as in no starter eengagement or cranking but not running? If it is not running listen to hear in the first 10 seconds to the fuel pump relay if it engages or listen for fuel pump...is the car getting spark?

SOURCE: Fuel filter changed of Saturn Vue 2002

Never allow Saturn touch a Saturn.
During the oil change, the Saturn dealer loosened the center positive electrical battery cable at the main fuse box, drivers side, under hood.
The loose positive cable results in an electrical surge that wipes out the cps.
The new cps is only avaqilable from Saturn.
When the new cps is delivered, one electrical pen will be bend down and must be straightened prior to insertion of male and female electrical connector to the cps. Otherwise the new cps will fail.
Be certain to tighten the center positive post of three that secure the main fuse box in place. The center post must be tightened to ensure the new cps is not destroyed by subsequent electrical surges which result when Saturn Dealer loosens the center fuse box post.

SOURCE: Have a 99 Saturn, rough idles, stalls, high RPMs

Sounds like the EGR is hanging open causing an internal vacuum leak.... Check all vacuum lines first for cracks / splits and then pull the EGR and make sure the pintle is not stuck open with a chunk of carbon.

2004 Saturn ion. Car won’t start. Battery seems to be good, cuz all dash lights come on. Car won’t crank.

Does the starter make a noise when you crank it? If not, first make sure you have 12+ volts in the battery and good battery connections. If the battery has less that 9 volts, then replace the battery. Try using a jumper box or a set of jumper cables from another vehicle to start the car. If you can see the starter, have someone strike it with a hammer while turning the key to the crank position. If it starts, replace the starter.

Alternator lights comes when you first start engine and goes off after a couple of minutes running. Is it the alternator or some other problem?

some of the alternators have internal regulators that are controlled by the engine computer. Call your dealer and ask him if it is.

general rule of thumb - you should have 12 1/2 volts at battery with engine off. It should jump to 14 volts with engine running and alternator putting out charging current.

Also, try reving engine to 25000 rpms and see if the light goes out immediately.

2002 VUE will not start.

what is "lots of power"? battery should have a reading of over 12 volts not running, 12.6 is perfect. if it's under 10 volts depending on
how much current the starter draws it may not crank. don't be fooled by the presence of dash lights, radio etc. the starter needs a lot of power to turn the motor. usually I don't see too many weak starters that can't crank the engine. most of the time they have an internal failure and just don't crank.

Cannot locate battery terminals on 2005 Saturn Vue re: jump

they don't want you too ... there is a terminal usually near one of the strut towers with a red cap on it and you hook up the ground to any where else metal is showing.
