SOURCE: speed,rpm,gas,odometer gauges not working

Sounds like a body control module. It is located on top of the glove box. Unfortunately, the miles are stored in this module, so you have to go to a dealer to have it programmed.

SOURCE: 2005 Saturn Vue, no light in odometer, is odometer

Hi:
the dash has seven or eight small bulbs illuminating the entire area, and approx 3 of them are for the speedometer/odometer area.

It seems odd that those are the first to go, but most likely the problem.
It often requires removal of the instrument cluster to swap bulbs. not too bad, but sometimes tricky.

SOURCE: how do i reset the oil light on a 03 saturn vue? i

The procedure you used is for the 2006 > Vue, and will not work on your 2003. For the 2002-2005 Saturn Vue V4 or V6 - Under the hood you will see a black fuse box behind the battery. Open it up and you will see a red button, it is small and looks like a fuse but on the top it will say Oil-Res. Turn on the ignition & press and hold that button for about 10 seconds. You may want to have a friend sit in the driver's seat and watch for the indicator to start flashing, which indicates you've activated the reset. Turn off the ignition and that will reset the Oil light.

03 beetle 2.0 ran out of gas and car wont start and backfires

Possible that it has sucked water and sediment off bottom of tank causing a lean backfire no start. Have you tried spraying carb cleaner into the throttle body to see if it tries to run on that ? As Ray said it is possible timing jumped.

Ran out of gas this morning, filled tank, killed battery trying to start it, jumped it, ran fine for 4 miles then started cutting out, now it won't turn over at all,... Ant suggestions

Hi Mike:
Since you've solved the gas problem, it looks like you're just dealing with a bad battery.
Try getting a jump with boosters to get it home.
Then check the battery......... fluid level....... Will it take a charge...... Will it hold a charge.
are the terminals and connections all good?
All the fun stuff.
Enjoy

Left lites on and killed battery. Jumped it off and cranked up but cut off after 2 or 3 seconds

Check terminal connections, then check alternator to make sure its charging.

My car keeps cutting off everytime i stop. it will start right back up but then will cut off when i stop again

had a similar problems with my saturn, at lights and stop sings i would get a low idle and almost like it was about to stall.

1- the delar will tell you it may be an altornator problem, this is most likly not it.
2- SPARK PLUGS, i changed mine and my engine ran a lot smother and less "almost stalling" (also wont hurt to change your spark plugs.
3- fule injectors and filter may be clogged and dirty. Replace both.

all of this you can do by your self with less then $200 and and about 3 hours for every thing. Take your time plan out your route and ask the guys at your local car parts shop for more advise.

Hi!

I think you killed the battery, and its not a good idea to use the radio while the car is off especially if you got a Subwoooooooooooooofer.lol

You might need to charge the battery or jump it. Good luck

I would check and clean any wire and connection between the alt and the battery and all grounds. Also check and see if charging voltage is the same at the battery post as it is at the lug on the alt.

Had battery, alternator, starter checked @ 1st of August, showed bad battery-or battery was going bad. should have replaced then, but didn't. Last few days, it seems like it was not getting enough power on...

The battery is the last place I'd look. You should type "would not start" if you mean that it cranks but doesn't start. Your message is a bit confusing. An intermittent problem such as this is usually electrical though. Cranking is the noise it makes when the starter actually turns. If it cranks at times and then refuses to at others, it would probably break down to being the starter itself or the starter solenoid. If the engine starts (to a run) at times and then not at others, then you would need to steer toward problems with fuel (or no fuel pressure, or lack of), ignition (wires, coil, or distributor). If you are hoping it is something simple (and want to avoid a trip to a mechanic), maybe someone familiar with this vehicle will post a solution relating to it.

Wont stay runnin

I would have these alternators and battery tested. Also check the wiring at the alternator and battery cables.
