Once they lock up they are done. They need to be replaced. They should come with an instruction sheet for replacing them.

SOURCE: how to replace passenger side front seat belt on a 01 chevy tahoe

They Are easy to replace, They mount to the floor with one large bolt. The nut  below is welded so if you can obtain a large enough socket ... You may als get one from a junk yard.

SOURCE: 2000 Chevrolet Malibu LS airbag problems

The passenger side airbag is a lot easier then driver side. Take the glove box out and you will see two 10mm bolts holding it in place. When you open the passenger side front door, remove the panel on the side of the dash and you will see yellow connectors. The 1 closest to the front is attached to the air bag, it is clipped into the frame. Just pull it loose and take it out and your done. For the Driver side, it takes a skinny T27 to remove the two star bolts, then just disconnect the horn red clip and ground and install new airbag. The module is located under the passenger seat, underneath the carpet. Kinda stupid but thats where its at. You also need to replace the front impact sensor located behind the grille on the back side of the metal bar to each side. Follow the hood latch down. Also just to make sure, you know to disconnect the battery before you do all this. You don't want new airbags to accidentally deploy.

SOURCE: How to remove the steering wheel without deploying

Disconect the battery completely both cables. let it sit disconected for a while 20-30 minutes. Or if you feel safe doing this which it is safe. Both cables removed from battery toch them together away from the power source. This will send any and all left over power stil in system straight to ground and you will be clear to remove steering wheel. Do what you have to doo and the very last thing is to hook up the battery negative cable last.

How do i deactivate srs so i can replace front seatbelts on 2005 yaris

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
1. Wait at least 90 seconds after the ignition switch is
turned off and the negative (-) terminal cable is
disconnected from the battery before starting the
operation.
(The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source, so
if work is started within 90 seconds of disconnecting
the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS
may be deployed).
2. Do not directly expose the steering pad, front
passenger airbag assembly, center airbag sensor
assembly, front airbag sensor, front seat inner belt
assembly, seat position sensor, occupant
classification ECU, front seat side airbag assembly,
side airbag sensor, curtain shield airbag assembly,
rear airbag sensor or front seat outer belt assembly to
hot air or flames.

My airbags deployed and now my seatbelts wont work. how do i fix them?

The seat belts have small airbag like devices in them in the retractor mechanism. These go off like airbags when you are in a crash to ensure you stay tightly in your seat. Think of it like what happens if you pull the seat belt too quickly and it stops movement. You will need to replace the whole seat belt unit if this is the case.

Front seatbelt jammed

If the seat belt has jammed, you may just need to replace the mechanism- you want it to do its job correctly when you need it
For your information,--You may need to replace the mechanism for the seat belt. If the impact restraint system has encountered what they refer to as a stage one deployment due to a minor accident, the seat belt locks up, and even though the airbag(s) hasn't deployed, there are frame sensors that may need replacing reset.
We encountered this with my daughter's 05 Focus and needed to replace the belt assembly, and a couple sensors on the frame..

Ford Focus seatbelt locked

There is a gas cylinder that tightens the belt in a minor collision, it is a one time use part it is independent of the air bag deployment system, you will have to replace the seat belt gas cylinder, that may mean a new belt assembly, not sure on focus.
