I actually just took mine out today on a 1998 Gmc Jimmy. Its kind of simple now that ive done it. There are four ten millimeter bolts holding the passenger module in. you will need to drop your glovebox down so it is upside down to see these. It is easier if you take it right off. just take a shop light and look at the bottom of the module you will see two silver bolts (the only two ten mm down there) take them out. Then if you look up underneath you will see another up at the top left. To get this out you can hand wrench it or you can use a mini impact with an ajustable extension. to get the next the easiest way I found was to take off the trim aroung your speedometer get in the drivers seat and there is another ten millimeter nut on the top right (right by the vent holes) take that out then you are unbolted. Without going into tons of details when you start doing it you will quickly realsie how to do it it just takes some patience. Dont forget to pull the fuse before you do anything its a 15 amp fuse second row 3rd up in the panel inside the car. Hope this helps
