it would make sense because in a lot of cars, the screen for the backup camera is integrated into the infotainment system (which includes the radio).
I'm surprised the dealer didn't' just recommend an infotainment system to replace your radio with. You might call another Hyundai dealer and ask them to recommend an infotainment system which includes a backup camera integration. They should be able to handle the full installation.
If the camera is original equipment for the vehicle, get any name and numbers off of it and yes, order it on line. Should be cheaper that way than going to the dealership. Once it comes in, just pop it in if that's all that's required. Most likely you'll see a lot of offers for a retrofit camera that may be just as good as OEM.
Well for one thing check the wiring connections. Then check to see if power is reaching the units . If not trace wiring back to pickup point of 12 volts.
