I'd be more concerned about tounge weight and STOPPING. Stay under 3000 lbs combined trailer with load and 500 lbs tounge weight.

I think a 4 cylinder truck can pull as much as 5000 pounds. I'm currently building one that can tow a boat and I just finished installing my new set of wheels and tires I got from https://4wheelonline.com/wheel-and-tire-packages.283376to complement the build and improve the performance.

Think out it a four cylinder truck is a 1/4 ton truck or about 600 pounds of payload plus the weight of the truck...check the door post it door edge it should have gross weight or total weight your truck is designed for...thst trailer itself is too big for your truck...let alone the tractor..sorry..my opinion..good luck..

Can 97 vw cabrio manual pull a 1200lb boler trailer

No. The Cabrio is not made for towing and does not have the proper axle ratio, trans cooler, etc. Ive seen a lot of people these days putting trailer hitches on cars and for larger cars this may work as the motor can compensate. Your Cabrio is 4 cylinder and to pull that load will overwork the motor and cause it to fail much sooner. Not to mention that it will wear out your clutch plate in your manual transmission.

What is the maximum towing capacity for a 1987 chevy caprice brougham..? ( the 305 engine) Thanks!

With a 20 year old vehicle, the original towing capacity does not apply.
I'd set a limit of whatever the weight of your vehicle is as a safe number (if car weighs 3,200 lbs, tow weight is 3,200lbs Max.) Trailer weight is also determined by the capacity of the hitch.
Trailer loading should be at 60% of weight on hitch.
Don't forget...you need a fully functional cooling system, adequate (most times additional) transmission cooling, and good suspension (air shocks, variable load rear springs and fresh differential lube). If this is done, you may be able to add 20-30% more trailer weight.
One item often overlooked is that it really does not matter if you can pull a load...you need to be able to stop it. Make sure your brakes are in really good condition!!!

Need to tow 1999 F250 about 150 miles home. What

If you have a stick shift, you rent a 2 wheel tow dolly and run the front tires onto it and strap it down. Put the truck in neutral and away you go.
If you have an Automatic you want all 4 wheels on a flatbed or tow trailer. You rent a car hauler trailer and piggyback the truck onto the trailer. A good rental will know the weight and rent you the right trailer.

What gear to drive in when towing a trailer with toyota camry

Whatever gear the car needs to have the moter spinning without full throttle.Auto and manual are driven differently.Up hill, downhill.Mostly,if its manual you wait a bit longer to change gears.E.g.Normal change revs,3000 rpm,go to 3500rpm with the trailer on.Auto, use the gear selecter and put it back to 3 instead of D and when the car has enough speed, then into D.Drive the auto like a manual on hills etc.to help it.Don't forget that braking distances almost double when you have a trailer on.Hope this helps
