I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with a V10 in it. I am having a problem getting it started. What happens is I turn the key to the on position and all the gauges and the radio turn on so I know I am getting power into the cab. I have replaced the positive battery cable and all the starter relay fuses and that hasn't solved any of the problems. I also had the starter checked and that seems to be in good condition. Any ideas?

You can't. Have the codes read and fix the problem. Older Dodges are usually the door switch or the chip in the ignition. Lock it down and open the passenger side with the key. reach in and start. if it starts, replace the switch in the drivers door. If not your looking at replacing the ignition lock and key. It has to be programmed. But I would scan it first to make sure it was't the module.
You will have to turn the ignition key on and off, several times. The fuel pump should cut in for a couple of seconds, and then out again, and you should be able to hear it doing this. If you can't hear it, you will have to check fuses and relays, and hope the pump hasn't burnt out.
On my 06 v10 there is a idle adjustment screw at the linkage on the throttle body.
clean air filter
clean sensor in the air intake ram
try some 93 octane
