My brother has a 2006 Silverado 2500HD. The AC blower will not shut off. I know this is probably a bad resistor module under the dash so I ordered a new one. His has 3 wires in and two out to the blower motor. I was told there was an update kit and the new replacements have 7 wires in. The new one arrived but no information on how to wire it in. Need some help, wiring diagram, instructions, something. His has the auto AC and vents in the rear console. That seems to matter as we had to give that information to get the new module.

there is no relay for the heater fan it's a 15 amp fuse and is on the accessories circuit. the reostat is responsible for all 3 speeds .with the key off there should be no voltage to the blower motor whether the fans speed fan switch is on or off. the fuse will be located in the fuse paneleither on the drivers left side in the dash or underneath the dash in the fuse block. you have a short in the harness that is under the dash and most likely it's a bad plug on the harness. your going to have to do some searching but that's where the problem short is... please rate

little black box to the left of blower motor (2) 7/32 screws holding it heater box with a plug with 7or 8 wires feeding it the plug is probably going to be melted inside

This is all that's covered by the Haynes manual,Sorry I don't have more.
SOURCE: replaced control head module, replaced
The only thing left would be to check for power at the heater control. I've seen rodants chew through wires, is this possible
SOURCE: how do you replace blower motor resistor when the plugs are different?
Take it back & if you have to go, to a dealer & give them you rVin# & get the correct part
