Hello. I could really use help on this issue since I'm at my wits end! My 1995 Grand Voyager was riding fine for about 50 miles until it started to buck. RPM's went between 1 and 2, to 3 and 4, then back to 1 and 2 and then rev back to 3 and 4. Very erratic. No check engine just yet. The next day it did the same thing, bucking, etc. When I got home I let the car sit over night and then started it again to go to work. At first it started to buck just like before, but then after about 5 minutes, it stopped bucking. So now I'm riding along when the check engine light suddenly comes on and doesn't go off until I got to my destination and shut the car. Drove the car back home and now the engine light is off. Once again, 10 minutes later, engine light comes back on. The strange thing is that the car did not buck at all while the engine light was on. I pulled the codes when I got home and got 12 32 55. I looked up what this means and it says that it's the EGR solenoid circuit open or short. Could this be the cause of the bucking? I ask this because I had the transmission rebuilt last year and at first I thought it might be that, but now I don't know since it doesn't buck when the engine light is on. Last night I drive the car again. This time the engine light did not come on and sure enough, the car started bucking once again. I'm very confused on what this could be. Any answer would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: 96 voyager stalls won't turn over after some time it goes

1- under the hood their is a two relays Fuel pump and engine cut off. locate both relays. Next time the vehicle will not start have someone inside the vehicle turn the key to start and if feel with your fingers the top of the relay and listen for the CLICK. It is possible that one of the relays is sticky. I would just replacement as they are only 10-12 bucks from most dealers and auto parts stores. If this does corrected the problem next time the vehicle does not start bang the gas tank with a sometime and try it again. If it starts after banging then you fuel pump motor is sticking

SOURCE: Engine runs rough after about ten minutes /idles really low

Just trowing some suggestions out there, but, I would check the idle air control valve (solenoid) or the throttle position sensor. If they check out then my last guess would be the map sensor or the vaccuum to the map sensor. Hope I was able to help. Best wishes.

SOURCE: My 1993 Grand Voyager won't start.

I had a similar problem a while back, something you may want to check on is a sensor that check the temperature outside, it sometimes shorts out and tells the computer that it is -100 outside and the computer shuts off the engine and will not spark or do anything as it is trying to protrect your engine...sorry i can't remember the exact name of the sensor but its a faulty one and only costs about 50$ to replace hope this helps

SOURCE: 1992 plymouth grand voyager

your radiator fan is switch on by the coolant or the engine coolant temperature sensors. you need to unplug your coolant temperature sensor and bypass the sensor task to make the fan turn on. just to make sure the fan is working. your van problem is mostly sensors failure.

You need an auto electrician to diagnose this. They will connect a professional grade scan tool computer, and find the issue. You can't guess stuff like this.

Click noise meaning that engine does not spin over? Bad battery cable connections or dead battery may be first issue.

Just bought 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager and it ran good for about 50 miles then it cut off and now won't start. it trys to start and battery seems good.

Have you checked the fuel filter? It may not be getting fuel. Had an experience with this - vehicle was fine but shut it off and it wouldn't start. No problems before but the fuel filter went fast.

I have a 2000 Chrysler Grand Voyager with 120,000 miles. This morning the engine would not turn over as I turned the key. There was just a 'click' sound, that's it. Radio is working fine, lights are on and...

It sounds like your starter is stuck. This is a simple thing to resolve. Take a piece of wood, or the blunt end of a hammer and gently tap on the starter, this should free it up. You should then be able to start it. If this does not resolve the issue, then you may have a faulty, or corroded wire to the starter, or a faulty starter and will need to have it replaced.

Idle problem for a plymouth grand voyager 94 3.3 v6

try this procedure it will help wit the idle, don't know about the overdrive issue.
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls at stops and low erratic idle speed and rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
