Hello, if your engine did not have oil pressure , I doubt you could drive it ten miles. I think you should check your oil pressure with an auxiliary pressure gauge. More than likely you might only need a new oil sending unit.

I would try the sending unit first like Dwight said, you would never drive 10 miles without oil pressure, it would have locked up after a few miles

Try changing the oil first,,, use 10w30,,its a little thicker than standard,,, and a new filter,,,, sometimes the small oil filters will colapse,,, save the old oil filter and carry to someone that can cut it open to see if there is a problem,,,, you also could have a bad guage in the cluster or the oil sending unit could be bad,,,or disconnected,,, its located back of engine just right of center kinda low down where intake meets engine,,, see youtube
Time for a diagnosis. An engine will not survive long without oil.
