Older post.
ok, can your fast right foot keep it running, (pumping it)
ever get a tune up this decade? 90%right on old cars.
this is called stalling.
how long does it stay stalled. 1 min, 1 day? ? cant starts.
or always restarts fast.
how far can you drive before next stall.? 1 min, 1 day , 1 week?

is engine misfiring?
is idle below spec, hot say 800rpm????????ever?
i can tell all this in minutes. but is real hard online.
we are blind here. and have zero history.
miles on engine?
miles since last tuneup?
did the head lights dim at stall.
did the dash cluster go dead ,just the instant before the stall.
see why hands on tests work ONLY>?
i can go on, there, almost endless symptoms....

Could be something as simple as a dirty fuel filter.
Get a can of quick start at the store and have someone start it up, when it wants to die squirt a shot into the intake ... if it runs again for a bit you have a fuel delivery issue. Check the fuel pressure to see if the pump is functioning properly.

Car won't stay running

If the problem only happens when the engine is cold, a bad electric sensor is likely to blame. If the car stalls even when the engine is warm, the cause is likely a faulty electric fuel pump.

My three wheeler doesn't stay running when it starts. What could be the problem besides the fuel line . just added a fuel filter on it but she still won't start or stay running at times. Co

The damage is already done before you put the fuel filter in. (dirt in Carb)
Remove your carb and dissesemble it and clean everything out and then put back on the machine with FRESH gas and you will be fine...run like a top !

Replaced ctm unit and truck won`t stay running.

there are 2 sensor on the carb . you may need to replace both to find out whiche one it is . try this also give it gas while starting and when it starts you will have to keep your foot on the gas a little to keep it running if it runs that way its one of the 2 senors .
