First, check to make sure your spare tire and jackstand are secure and not moving around. That could be a really simple cause, and free to fix.
Second, with the car off and cooled down, take your hand and try to wiggle the muffler. The muffler or exhaust pipe leading to the muffler could be loose. This is probably what's causing the rattle.

Yes! if you have struts the shock mounts cound be shot,Also check to see your exhaust isn't missing any hangers, that makes noise too, when the pipe clunks against the frame.Good Luck !

Could be that your Heater fan is wearing out,,,or maybe something has fallen into the defrost vents and is rattling.
does the rattling increase when you turn the fan from low to high?

Besides the shocks, check the stabilizer links (sometimes called sway bar links). I don't know if your vehicle has them on the rear, but it does have two on the front, one on the left, the other on the right. They tend to rust out and break after 7 years or so. If you can determine what they are, they are rather inexspensive to fix and can even be done at home with a few basic tools with the parts obtainable at aftermarket parts outlets like NAPA and CarQuest.

have you checked the sway bar links? they are a common failure. grab hold of the ends of the sway bar, and try to push up and down - hard. any clunking felt indicates a worn ball and socket joint in the link, and the link will need to be replaced. good luck!
