Even with a new pump its important to check fuel pressure and flow . Low pressure fuel pressure regulator stuck open or fuel pump faulty . Low flow blocked fuel filter . if the above is all ok. Back probe injector with led trouble light , light will glow while motor is turning over. if not check fuses , if ok check injector cable back to the ECU for bad connections .

the fuel pressure regulator is located on fuel rack, top of motor.follow the chrome fuel lines on top of motor to the end next to drivers side of motor and you will see a round cylinder. that cylinder is your fuel pressure regulator.make sure to let pressure off those fuel lines before removig the regulator. you should have a valve on the fuel rack that looks like a tire valve, insert something pointed into that valve and gas will come out.that's the way you releive the pressure from the fuel pump.be advised that gas should come out of that valve, cover your eyes and face.

I have a 2013 honda rancher 420 from 4x4. Changed the fuel pump and fuel injector. It'll on run when I give it gas. It won't idle. Help me out guys

There should be an idle adjustment possibly on the throttle assembly. try to find it. You could also try a Honda dealer and ask a service tech. They are usually helpful over the phone.

2007 honda rancher 420 back fired and will not start

Will not start

Gas, air, compression, and spark is all the cylinders need for the engine to run. No start is usually gas or spark related. Here's the fuel check on fuel injected cars. Turning the key to on will start the pump for 2 or 3 seconds to pressurize the system. When the engine is cranking over the computer turns on the fuel pump relay again, so the pump will be on. And stays on after engine is running to keep high pressure against the fuel injectors. The computer times the injector pulse to spray gas into the intake or into the cylinder at the right time.
So if you have a no start, to check for gas, listen for the pump- a distinctive hum or buzz from the tank, check the fuel pump fuse, see if you can feel or hear the fuel pump relay click when someone turns the key to on. (Did you remember to check if the tank has gas?). Finally, you would have to check for power on the fuel pump wire at the tank connector, while someone holds the key in start. If you have power there, it's likely you need a new fuel pump. If the pump is working, well and good, but keep in the back of your mind that a weak pump that puts out low pressure can cause hard starting problems and poor running. At any rate, if you have gas up to the fuel rail, the only other thing between there and the cylinders is the injectors. Are they working? A quick check would be to remove a spark plug or two after cranking the engine over a few seconds. If they are wet with gas, the injectors are injecting. Hope I've helped you out some. I know some people who say to spray some starting fluid into the air intake to check if you have a gas problem with starting- I've done it myself. But I've learned it's better to use carburetor cleaner spray instead, it burns cleaner and something about the potentially harmful effects of starting fluid, well. good luck.

Ran out of gas put gas in and now the car will not start

Running out of gas on a fuel injected vehicle, is very bad. Mostly, due to the fuel lines get pumped up with compressed fuel vapor. The pump can quit from running dry, & need replaced. See if youcan find the shrader valve on the fuel line, easily found on most GM's, usually none on Fords. I sometimes crack the rear fuel line (steel) on end of fuel rail. Crank a few times with the ECM fuse out so it cannot accidentally fire, if fuel comes out. Another alternative, until the fuel pump get fuel to the fuel rail.....is spray a few short shots of "starting fluid" on the air filter. (about a 4 second count). SpraY; 1 ONE THOUSAND, 2 ONE THOUSAND,3 ONE THOUSAND, 4. No more than that, then put the filter back in, close the box quickly, without snapping in & crank. DOes it run then, if it sputters & spurts, proably needs a fuel pump. On fuel injected vehicles, they are usually in the tank.

Look for a bad fuse or relay. If both check out, most likely an ECM problem
