A15 CHECK DIMMER SWITCH OPERATION
- Using a voltmeter connected to a known good ground, check for voltage to Circuit 1036 (BR/W) from headlamp switch.
- Operate dimmer switch to LOW setting.
- Operate dimmer switch to HI setting.
- Using a voltmeter, check for voltage to Circuit 1035 (O/R) from headlamp switch.
-
Is voltage present on both circuits?
Yes GO to
A16 .
No If ground circuit to headlamp switch is good, REPLACE open headlamp dimmer switch. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
A16 CHECK FOR DIMMER INPUT TO LCM
- While operating dimmer switch, connect a voltmeter to ground and alternately to Pin B16, Circuit 1035 (O/R) and Pin B15, Circuit 1036 (BR/W).
-
Is voltage present alternately at both circuits?
