Poor functioning A/C in 2004 GMC Sierra 1500

I have paid for a dealership to replace my A/C compresor, condensor, and filters, which they diagnosed as being the problem with my a/c system. The original problem was that while sitting idle one day, hot air started coming through the vents instead of cold. When I would shut entire vehicle down and restart it, would blow cold again. Now they have replaced three compressors and it is still not right. When sitting idle, set at 60 degree temp, only blows barely cool air. When I checked the PSI, reads 65+. I have suggested they check the sensor and/or dash controls, but they say that isn't the problem. Any ideas?

Have the engine fans and relays checked. If the engine fan does not come on when the a/c compresser kicks in then the air that comes out the vents will be warm.

Where is the fuel filter on 2007 gmc 1500 sierra

It does not have a user-serviceable fuel filter. In 2004 when GM went to what is called a "returnless" fuel system, they incorporated the fuel filter into the in-tank fuel pump. That means from 2004 to present, the only way to replace the fuel filter is to replace the entire fuel pump.

Step to Remove and replace airbag for a 2002 gmc Sierra 1500

This is definitly not a driveway kind of job. I would highly recommend taking this to a professional. Even, working for one of the biggest auto repair chains in the US, it's not a job I would be willing to tackle. This is a job more suited for the dealership. Poor installation can result in serious injury.

Where is the fuel filter located in a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500?

Under the truck, on drivers side, between fuel tank and engine compartment, sort of under where the drives sit, against the frame.

Is the fuel filter for the 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab in the gas tank?

You may be lucky and the fuel filter is still on the inside frame rail under the drivers door. 2004 was the change off year and 2005 was defiantly the no serviceable fuel filter.
You can go to the dealer with your vin number and they can look up in there system if you have the external fuel filter, or you can just look for it on the inside of your frame rail.
Thank you for using fixya and be safe.

GMC Sierra A/C Stops Cooling After Driving a Few Minutes

It sounds like you either have an condensor fan problem or low freon. The condensor fan is near the radiator. In some cases the radiator fan doubles as the condensor fan. So look there too.

Fuel filter location Sierra

I have been told by a mechanic that the fuel filter is inside the fuel tank. Have to either drop the tank or remove the pickup bed. Access is on the top of the tank. This is poor engineering.
