Have your ignition module checked, my car would start and drive and would go dead after a few miles and would not start until it cooled down, turned out to be the ignition module that eventually went bad and would not start at all.

I have a 1998 dodge intrepid 3.3 lit eng when i drive a few miles my car stop running or when im when i come to a full stop it takes awhile to start back up

When it dies, does the Check Engine light come on? If so, have the code read that's stored in your onboard computer. That should give you a starting point. If not, look at your fuel system - fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter - or the ignition system - spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, points/inductive pickup.

You've already eliminated the spark plug & wireset, distributor cap & rotor.
Sounds like your car needs a tune-up, specifically, the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve, and/of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve.

Components checked/replaced during a tune-up are:
air filter
motor oil
motor oil filter
breather filter
fuel filter(s)
fuel strainer
PCV valve
EGR valve
spark plugs
spark plug wires
ECM or distributor cap & rotor
cabin air filter
transmission oil filter
transmission oil
engine coolant
check all vacuum hoses and lines

Check the compression? You replaced all the items to make it run. remove the air filter and check? If compression is below 90 then bad rings or valves. Check the fuel pressure. to see if you have bad rings with low compresion spray oil in cylinders, if pressure goes up it's the rings. If nto it's the valves.Try these and let me know.
