Oh boy, you've really done it. The Haynes manual should have the color codes on that harness connector listed with the connector position and number. They do for the majority of wires. The connectors are usually fine. It's the connector socket on the circuit card that needs the solder reheated with a 25 watt soldering pen to reflow it to make a good connection again.

are you talking about the wires that connect the car harness to the gauge cluster with the 2 big plugs?

take out the printed circuit board and on the back you will see some broken solder joints on the back of the main connector, you can not see them from the front.i have repaired a few of these before.you will definately fix it.just be careful not to bridge the solder joints together.
put some silicone around the base of it after to act as a strain relief for further strength.

Hello
I am not sure what it is you are asking for here. Do you mean the connectors from the dash wiring harness to the instrument cluster connectors at the back of the cluster? If so you just squeeze the side and gently pull outward or press the tabs on the top and bottom of the connectors plastic shell. Please clarify. Thanks

you can get one cheap from a junkyard for same year and the colors will match for the wires.
if you know how to solder that is a help, will give you the best connection.
i am not sure if the dealerships carry the pigtails anymore for a 1996
