Alright so I've changed the c.p.s. . It still does it. But now I've noticed that after it gets hot if you leave the key in the on position for about a min, it will start fine. Again starts fine if engine is cold

SOURCE: will not start when it is warm, let sit for 15-30 mins..starts

Which engine is this? and also do you have a TACH gauge?

check for spark when it wont start there is a common problem with the loss of crank signal on these cars with 2.8/3.1 engines.

If you have no spark its either a crank sensor or the ignition module going bad, but the problem is you need to verify which one it is. having a tachometer would help diagnois this. if you have a tach signal and no spark most of the time its an ignition module but you would need a lab scope to 100% know which one it is. the modules are very common on these engines.

what happens is the crank signal goes to the igintion module. and then the module loses it most of the time cause the module is supposed to send the crank signal tot he ecu. you would have to make sure the signal makes it out of the module and into the ecu. if you get a signal out of the module then you have more severe problems. that need in depth diagnosis.

SOURCE: Fuel pressure intermittently drops causing sputter and die.

check for 12v constant at your fuel pump if you are not getting that replace your relay.
if you are getting 12 volts at your fuel pump the fuel pump is possible to run tuel it gets warm then shut down to a lower rpm I would then replace the fuel pump

03 dodge ram 1500 crew cab 4.7l v8 starts fine when cold but won't start after it is warm

First i would check the crank sensor by looking for rpm's on the tachometer or scan tool if you see any rpm's then crank sensor is good. Then check for leaking injectors and if they are not leaking then you will need to check the ECM it may have failed.

2001 dodge dakota stalls when put in reverse on first start up of the day. If put in drive it runs and drives fine and also after truck is driven and warms up it will go in reverse just fine. ...

Not saying this is your problem but I had a ram 1500 5.9l gas do the same thing would start and die as soon as I put it in drive but would run fine in reverse after doing all kinds of trans testing it ended up being the crank sensor still doesn't make sense to me but it would back fire and carry on in drive changed sensor and runs great and better fuel mileage

My 2005 dodge ram starts but lacks power then when i turn off and start again it just dies

Look for the fuel pump or fuel filter to cause the problem. The lacking power and the engine dieing after starting is caused from lack of correct fuel pressure. Hope this will help you.
