You can disconnect the chime bell itself but if there is a problem with the system & the chime is necessary it wont engage. U should have it ckd out & repaired the proper way from the professional point of view. If u cant do it yourself, take it to a shop u trust. Good luck
Sounds like the door switch is not switching or not connected. Sometimes the switch is external in the door jamb/closing area, sometimes it is part of the door catch. Maybe check if the door light on the dash stays on, also if the interior light works on door setting.
somehow I was the annoynmess person with the question about the door ajar and a seatbelt alarm that we disabled, and odometer quitting the radio stayed on well it was just a plug and the odometer speedometer all that works now, but the radio still stay on with a key out of ignition, and now the AC don't cool
Candy, I'm not sure why you want to disable the pass seat belt chime, maybe its going off even with no one in the seat. BUT, the only way to stop it would be to plug the seat belt into the buckle. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Candy
As far as I know that seat belt warning chime and light is there for your safety and protection, it should not be bypassed in any way.
There is no by pass seqwuence or code to eliminate this safety device.
Buckle up, its the law.
You must lock the doors first using the KeyFob - then press and hold the remote start button for 3-5 seconds.
To disable the seatbelt chime, you must either wear your seatbelt, install an aftermarket radio (as the chime plays through the speakers), or find a used one in a junkyard - cut off the seatbelt and plug it in - Chevy does not have an override... however it will only do it 3 times in 15 minutes - then stop bothering you.

A: No.
Solution: Put on your seat belt!!!!!! Save a life!!!
A: Yes.
Soultion: There has to be a fuse either under the dash or under the hood that controlls the chime.
There is a switch in the seatbelt connecter that controlls the chime. It has either failed or the wireing that carried the signal to shut the chime off has been damaged.
look at the buckle and see if there are two wires going into it. if there is cut those and wire them together. or you can try and follow those wires back until you hit a fuze or something. alot of times though that fuse is shared with something else silly like a dome light or radio though
