I have a 2009 f250 door ajar check brake system stuck on dash

The issues with the door ajar warning, brake system warning, and flashers not working may be unrelated, but here are some potential solutions to each problem:
  1. Door Ajar Warning: This issue is a common problem in Ford F250 trucks, and can be caused by a faulty door latch or a wiring issue. Try cleaning the door latches with electrical contact cleaner and see if that solves the problem. If not, you may need to replace the door latch.
  2. Check Brake System Warning: The brake system warning light may come on for a variety of reasons, including low brake fluid, a malfunctioning brake light switch, or a problem with the brake system itself. Check the brake fluid level and ensure that it is at the correct level. If the brake fluid is low, you may have a leak in the system. If the brake fluid is at the correct level, you may need to have the brake light switch or the brake system itself inspected by a mechanic.
  3. Flashers Not Working: If the turn signal or hazard flashers are not working, it could be due to a blown fuse, a faulty flasher relay, or a problem with the wiring. Check the fuse box and replace any blown fuses. If the fuses are all good, you may need to replace the flasher relay. If the problem persists, you may need to have the wiring inspected by a mechanic.
If these solutions do not solve the problems, it may be best to take the vehicle to a mechanic or dealership for further diagnosis and repair.

I would bet bad flasher. Try swapping the flasher for the emergency lights with the turn signal light. GM's have two flashers and usually one is easy to get to and one not so easy. If there is a new flasher, give if a minute to try to operate. I use to sell auto parts and the first use of a flasher would take 30 seconds or so, something to do with manufacturing. Good luck.

Brake lights and turn signal don't work???

turn on the emergency flashers(e-flashers)if they work check the bulbs at the same time.if this is good then check the fuses.you may have a problem with the turn signal flasher needing replacing.this is a different flasher than that of the e-flasher,looks the same but a different flasher.usually located on or around the fuse panel under the dash.the brake light problem could be a misadjusted switch or a bad switch.the switch is at the base of the brake pedal and has two wires to it.one wire will have power all the time and the other wire will only have power on it when the brake pedal is pushed.if not then the switch will need replacing.check for broken wires at the switch as these sometimes break causing a problem.

Hey HotrodHarley,
I would pull out your hazzard switch and clean it real well. the signal, brake lights are connected to the hazzard switch and if it doesn't fully disengage you wont get the brake lights or the flashers to come on. It happened to me on my 89 Raider last year.

No brake lights 3rd brake light works just put all new bulbs in.checked all fuses even under the hood, does this vehicle have a flasher fuses because those dont work either. both turn signal and rear lamps...

car should have an emergency flasher. If it isn't working, it could affect the brake lights. might be the same unit as the turn flasher but different relay inside. Is your fuse panel behind the glovebox? manual says flasher is in the fusebox. It's worth a try replacing this flasher unit. Looks like this:

No brake lights or emergency flashers. Changed

Try adjusting the brake light switch on the brake pedal.

The flashers have a relay in the circuit, test it and see what you get . The flasher switch may be the culprit also. By pass the switch with a pair of jumper wires and see if flashers work.
