One end should have a nut on the fuel line. The other usually has a spring lock inside the fuel line and will require a special disconnect tool to release it

Find fuel filter 2005 buick lacrosse 3.8

  • Under the car, drivers side rail, by the back tire. Make sure to remove the gas cap and release the fuel pressure from the nipple under the hood as well before starting this job. Not a hard job though. I think this filter is remove by wrench.

Can't figure how the union part is suppose to go

You might be talking about a fuel line, quick disconnect connection. If so the tool looks like a mushroom with one side cut out. There are a few different styles out there and you can pick it up any part store. Just ask for a fuel line quick disconnect tool. When you insert the tool it will spread the three metal tabs so the lines can be seperated.

Fuel pump wont turn

Well - there is a pressure switch somewhere that shuts off the pump when it reaches the correct pressure. The fuel filter may be clogged so the pump turns off real quick. check the fuel pressure rail test port connection.
